Halloween
Last Saturday was Halloween. Went over to Jess’ house to eat dinner and to give out candies.
Dinner was made entirely by Jess’ dad, no help, it was his first time cooking too :] everything tasted so good, I was sooooo full. Good thing we bought the wii to play.

Would you rather rake leaves or shovel snow?
I love autumn, so my answer would be to rake the leaves. But when winter comes, it’s alright also, just please don’t snow too much the snow-banks are so high you can’t see when you are driving to drive out of a corner (blind-spot).

Bachelorette’s lifestyle
So went to my friend’s condo to check out the public theatre room. It was cool, took us awhile to figure out how to work the projector, but the lazy-boy was very comfortable. I wonder if you can Karaoke in that room. :]
Didn’t bring my camera this time, but used Auntie BB’s camera, a canon superzoom…the stabilization is pretty good, but noticed a blue line on the right hand side of the picture, hopefully the camera is not defective.
So we quickly grab some food to cook after Jess got off work, one steak to share and some drumsticks.
Also bought eggplant, zucchini and onion and tossed it into the spaghetti. Fresh tossed spaghetti…a-la-Doris. :]
Jessica baked a chocolate cake from Betty Crooker…mmm moist. That’s our dessert.
The next morning we cooked up breakfast before we head over to play some badminton…bacon and eggs, with leftover cake, and apple+oranges. Yummy! We should do this again!

Bits-and-pieces
Just a compilation of random photos I took using my phone, maybe I should get a better camera phone. It’s only 2MP and I use it a lot. But because I don’t have photo-messaging on this very basic phone I can’t “upload” it right away…

Went to Angus Glen library a couple of times last week. They allow drinks in there now :]
I went to get money on Friday at an ATM, and just when the door opens to spew out money, the power went out! I was so worried, I gave the 1-800 number a call just to make sure they didn’t make any extra transaction on my account…it was soooo weird, seems like I was in the middle of a “hack” scheme.

End of the month
Nothing much happened. It was my dad’s b-day, passed it quietly, ate dinner at Uncle Joe’s. Lamb leg, it was great, too bad my mom can’t eat lamb. So full.
Got the boater’s card in the mail. Actually got a nice number on the card. I need to learn how to swim though, just in case.
Made a lightbox from scratch, it looks ghetto, but it works.

New door
My dad has been home this week fixing stuff around the house. One project he was doing was replacing the old entrance door to the kitchen with a new one.
Also got some cabinets, my dad “borrowed” his colleague’s car so that he can move stuff around with it…ew so dirty.
The tripod that I’ve been looking at for awhile finally went on sale. Luckily there’s one left.

Fishing season is ending
Went fishing at Little lake in Barrie on Sunday. We woke up early for it, and as we approach Barrie, it started raining. Luckily when we arrived the rain stopped and it was just overcast. The clouds made it easier to fish, besides the fishes will stay out in the waters cause the clouds hides the warm sun.
We rented a pontoon with full roof just in case it rains again.
It was quite windy though, Ida bough layers of clothes…and she caught something surprisingly with her new fishing rod.

Last Saturday we went to play tennis at the new court near Ida’s house. After we finished, we sat around and saw 2 brothers coming towards us on a funky skateboard and a unicycle. These kids were on it like they were pros, the kind on the unicycle went on a wavy uphill like it was a flat service. The funky skateboard it was on a new kind of skate board where you move in a squiggly line to gain momentum, no need to put your foot down, but then you have to use a lot of hip and leg muscles.
Also went to Ottawa for Labour Day Weekend. Didn’t get to see any air balloons, but at least the weekend was nice and sunny :)

Hump day.
Woke up early today to accompany Carmen to her appointment. Then brunch at Cora’s…we wanted to go to Eggsmart, but the Kennedy location was not open yet…owner said probably next week.
Then she dropped me back home, and since is such a nice day out, I biked out to Milliken. Sat there for awhile to read my magazine. Then these noisy teenagers came and I had to listen to my Mp3 player to drown out their high-pitched voices. There was a nice breeze too.
Came back home after and took some pictures of the flowers before they die-off.
Oh Jess decorated Doris’ helmet….all she needs to do now is to wear it :p
