Went to Pickle Barrel today, tried the P.E.I. Mussels and the Seafood
Linquine. The mussels I would recommend, but for the linquine, because
the sauce was creamed-based, if Doris and I didn't share, I don't think
one person can finish it.
Afterwards, bought some snacks then went home to pack for our little road trip to Montreal this weekend.
Went to watch Jess' team play thier last game before the play-offs on Monday. But Jess didn't show up for the game cause of work, what a coincidence. Luckily her team still won. Afterwards, went to eat some late desserts with her.
Doris ordered the stuffed fried green pepper thinking that it's the normal ones. But it actually was stuffed jalapeno peppers, so it actually tasted better then the normal ones with the spiciness.
It rained a lot during the day, so no tennis for us. Hopefully tomorrow will be nice. Doris and Charles is planning a trip to Montreal this weekend, so hopefully the weather will be nice for us to drive over there and do tourist-like stuff.
Did do much, filled out some forms for OSAP and mailed it out. Then went to Staples and got post-it notes for Doris. Then went to fill up the tank for my mom cause gas is cheap.
Added some pens to my pen collection today. I like to use the ones that are "retractable" because I like to "click" them when I'm working on something. So far I like the Zebra brands. So hot today, with humidity, if feel like 37C+.
Thursday, went over to Buffalo with Ida, her friend Mary, Mary's mom, and mom's friend. Woke up early, we got on the highway at around 8am, got to Buffalo a little after 10am. Ida only had minimal directions(as you can see by the yellow sticky notes)...good thing she had a transponder for the 407 or else it would of took us way longer to get back to Toronto.
I didn't really get anything, there were sales, and the good part is our Canadian dollar is equal to US. Ate ice-cream, banana-strawberry, very good (actually it's yogurt, so it's even better).
Played tennis today, we were able to squeeze in 2 hours of play before it rained.
We were really thirsty afterwards, Doris never tried Jone's soda before, so I bought it for her to try it. One Orange&Cream, one Green Apple.
Went downtown with Jess in the morning, then we walked over to Queen St. W. for lunch. The walk at mid-day was very hot, Jess really wanted to wear shorts.
Ate at HoSu, across from CityTv, not too far. The Bento Box lunch...sushimi with califonia roll. Jess got sushimi with tempura.
Then walked back to city hall to get the car, also walked around the farmer's market, and got some strawberries.
Played tennis at night then went for dessert afterwards, purple rice...soooo full.
